2026 LDCC Reorganization Recap

On April 27th, 2026 the Lowell Democratic City Committee held its biennial reorganization at the Armand Mercier Center. For the first time since the 8-ward configuration was adopted in 2022, all 8 wards were fully organized. In three wards, incumbent chairs or persons filling the chair role did not seek reelection and new chairs were elected.

Ward 3 – Beth Tripathi
Ward 6 – Andrew Kollar
Ward 8 – Anthony Milisci

Ward chairs Sue LeMay, James Ostis, Sally Coulter, Paul Sweeney and Mitchell Paulin were reelected.

Incumbent City chair James Ostis and City Vice chair Beth Tripathi did not seek reelection and contested elections were held for these offices.

City Chair – Mitchell Paulin vs. Geoffrey Feldman
City Vice Chair – Sarah Lapp vs. Zoe Dzineku

Mitchell Paulin and Sarah Lapp were elected City Chair and Vice Chair. Vice Chair was a 44-22 counted vote. Incumbent City treasurer Sally Coulter and City secretary Christopher Jenkins were reelected unopposed. Zoe Dzineku was elected unopposed for Diversity & Outreach Officer.
